The problem of network disturbance is becoming increasingly important as a result of the increased use of power electronics with increased emissions. In view of the increasing network contamination and their necessary reduction to maintain grid stability, the requirements for device manufacturers to comply with the electromagnetic compatibility are adjusted.

In order to meet these requirements on the grid-connection emissions, HAHN provides you a mains choke series, which enables you within very time to optimize the EMC characteristics of your device, in compliance with the latest standards.

With a power range up to 10 A and a wide range of inductance values, this series covers the range of common device application.

Compliance with DIN EN 61558-2-20, DIN EN 62041-standards and the compliance for glow wire tests and requirements of all materials used in accordance with DIN EN 60335-1 and the usage isolation systems based on Class B and F-insulation class in accordance with UL 1446 makes the integration of these components quickly and easily possible.

Active PFC-choke series

The high demand of "Passive PFC choke series" and the demands of our customers for greater achievements enables HAHN to present the "Active PFC-choke series".

The "Active PFC-choke series" takes place in the circuit topologies DCM (Discontinuous conduction mode) and CCM (Continuous conduction mode) application and meets the requirements of the major manufacturers of power regulators.

The new choke series includes an inductance ranging from 50 μH to 1000 μH, divided into appropriate intermediate steps. This current value of 1.5 A to 16.5 A can be achieved with a frequency response of 500 kHz. The "Active PFC-choke series" is characterized by very high impulse withstand voltage due to the use of high-quality enamelled copper wire. The withstand voltage value between auxiliary and power winding of the choke series is 2 kV, 2.5 kV from the two windings to the core.

Furthermore HAHN sets on UL listed materials, corresponding to the insulation class F (155 °C). In addition, these materials are compliant to the HAHN insulation system HAHN 155-2 (E237745).
